enigma: The beauty of these threads is that future historians will have a record of actual written sentiment looking back at this period

Yes, I agree...we are making history with our post...<g>

Historians will be hard up if they need to wade through all this crap...<g> Maybe they will quote Carl Hittle and believe we were all sniffing glue and trading neckid...

Enigma, before giving up on a top take into account that we are just before Thanksgiving, usually ending in a up-note and end of month were J6P contributes to his 401K.

If July is any reference the top took 3 days to form, so we have more to go.

Sentiment is so darn bullish that I wonder were those chaps found their justifications, including clown Mario Gabelli this morning on CNBC.

Money is plentiful, share prices are at astronomical levels and for sure one can spend it lavishly for acquisition. So the buffon calls it value <gg>

Aside from that they are starting to roll over the SPX contract from December to March 1999 which by itself makes some volatility. Watch the spread Dec to March

Would very much like to have the NIKKEY top chart of 1989, I think it began just shortly before the new year.
