NBC, (I can't speak for the cable networks), will originate and distribute in 1080i. It is up to the affiliate how they will transmit the signal. I will try to get a copy of the Wired article to see how they presented our DTV plans. MSNBC, not so much CNBC, does not want anything to do with Corporate NBC. I get a lot of static when I call Sacaucus as 30 Rock. So they could be up to whatever they deem "Digital TV" Then again, why bother with pristine HDTV on a news network? The HDTV audience will be prime time, sports and feature movies. The cable channels will try to multiplex several signals on their bandwidth.

Just something to think about.
