The gist of his research note -- it was not a full report -- is that the dispute between Q and ETRI could spill over in to the decision over which standard to use for 3g.

For background, the agreement between Q and ETRI was that Q would share 20% of royalties genereated from sales of cellular equipment in Korea. Q has chosen to exclude PCS royalties from that agreement. ETRI feels it has the right to its cut of those royalties as well. I know Gregg has posted that the contract specifically delineates "cellular" as that which is subject to roylaties.

Just one more reason to hate Qualcomm, I guess.
