John,

<Just a question -- anybody considering selling LSI for a tax loss by December's end?>

I did just that last month thinking that after earnings were announced that this stock would be rather quiet through the end of the year until momentum for the next quarter started to pick up. I have some significant capital gains from Ascend and Xylan that I wanted to offset. Therefore, I missed the surge from $13 to 17 but I feel that the stock will filter back down over the next month unless something major happens with LSI. I guess I will be patient and hope that I can hop back in at a lower price.

Don't get me wrong! I don't want to see LSI tumble but if it does I will pounce on it! This stock will more than triple within 2 years once this chip market turns positive, IMO!

Cheers,

Steve
