Jon / All - WHY DMT is the Standard for ADSL Hi Jon, Got your message, did someone point you in my direction? Yes I have a habit of making things simple, i.e. "DWDM is to Fiber, what ADSL is to POTS. " I most likely won't be posting on a regular basis, I went though my ASDL phase between DEC 95 and DEC 97, posting almost daily on the Amati Thread. Those were the days my friend.... Though I will be glad to answer any questions posted to me. I see your looking for at least 3 companies that will go 10 fold over the next two years. First let me say you started looking at the right time, given my background in ADSL, I'd say now is the time to start watching and picking a point ($$$) of entry. There just maybe a rally between now and the end of the year, with a follow up between Jan. and June 99. Now I don't want to start a panic, but the last time the ADSL Hype hit the Wall and the street, it began around Jan/Feb 96 and had one hell of a run though June 96. Numbers are apporx. Westell $10 to $80 then Split 2:1 PAIR $15 to $120 then Split 2:1 Amati $6 to $36 Today I see the same prices on the ADSL Stocks. Amati bought by TXN in Dec 97. Don't count out TXN. Yes it has a high Price, (Here's another simplification) DSP's are where the microprocessor were in 1984, only it will be even bigger! I like Orckit and PAIR, but I have not kept up to date the last year, I guess it's time I got up to speed. I wish all here the Best in their ADSL Holdings. I know this is ADSL for Dummies, so I hope the following post will inform, rather than leave one scratching their head. techstocks.com Regards, I WANT MY DMT JW@KSC
