Your right Paul E. Paul is one of the prime examples of those that were burned by NOVL and is now Burning green that NOVL has left him behind.

And Lyle, one thing that an investor must not do - he/she should not let past experiences and related emotions be a major factor to making future investment decisions. Those that were burned and dumped at $7 - $9 early last year would have enjoyed the recent ride.

Paul and I had some big "heated discussion" about this issue early this year when Paul slammed me for making NOVL predictions based on my understanding of how NOVL and its products will affect NOVL's price in the future. Paul continually quoted past NOVL trends and "gloom&Doom" NOVL sales statistics compared to MSFT. I think we know which method and predictions were more accurate and effective.

Intimately know the company you want to invest in and how it fits into the industry it belongs in. Current and future company / industry / market dynamics will beat legacy events and statistics almost all the time. Why - because one method looks at where the company is going and the other looks are what the company has done. Investors dont invest into the past - now do they.

He crashed and burned in a ball of FLAMES !

Obviously he Still burns..like the polar bear constellation.

To think that I recommended to him those JAN 20 calls when they were between 1/8 and 1/4 and his response was to insult me!!! Those days he was telling the world about all the cash, gold and silver he had...and how he..hehehehe..

and what did our self appointed Guru do when NOVL went down to 9 1/2? He started shouting demanding an explanation from..me? I told him then "I'm still buying calls and selling puts..."

The rather unpleasant events that led SHORTLY afterwards to his loosing his SI privileges I will not get into.

Many moons have passed and..NOW he is demanding that we read the future for him?? But let us imagine, by absurd, that this was actually possible. That we could actually tell him the future with certainty..say how would Fiondella react to tomorrow's news today if he were to learn that NOVL was at 20-21? What I want to say is that it really does not matter what the future will be since Fiondella more likely than not will not be able to understand it today...

Perversely he has a function in life which he detests: to make the rest of us richer. Look for Fiondella clues..he tends to be a solid contrarian indicator. Now, for example, he has sold covered calls which guarantee him he will get (with premiums and all) 16 by December or January..Well..it happens even to the best..this is not too bad for someone that seems to make a living *WATCHING NOVELL* all day long...?
(someone who admires his buddy Joe because he (JOE that is) has a JOB??!!)

OK, enuff here is what Fiondella was waiting for..here are my predictions!: whatever happens tomorrow I believe we are in a new era (and trading range) for NOVL. Also I think there is a lot of cash waiting on the sidelines..a (small) dip could be perfect to get them in..but at any rate I think it is going to be a wonderful Christmas for novellians..and '99 will be even better..I took some profits selling about 1/2 of my JAN 15 and 20 calls to pay for all my efforts and some.. I will hold the rest of my JAN 99 position for now. Of course I will keep my JAN 10, and JAN 15 '00 leaps as well as my stock position intact :-)

Happy Thanksgiving to you ALL
