Yes, TA should not be used exclusively.

Another good book is "Introduction to Technical Analysis with CDROM"
by Martin J. Pring, McGraw-Hill, 1997. This is a soft cover book,
300 pages, $39.96 at Barnes and Noble ($49.95 list).
