Hi, heirteg, While I share your willingness to consider a $150 offer, I would sell my WCOM in a heartbeat if I thought they were interested in buying a firm as vaguely related to their core business as Valence. Such boneheaded "diworsification" would be unignorable evidence of having lost their focus. They would be forgetting all the lessons learned over the last 20 years about using one's talents and capital to specialize in what one does best. They are a leader in one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy. To take a flyer on a small battery company would deserve all the punishment Wall Street might deliver. Since I doubt they are this dumb, I say we forget the speculation on what is almost certainly a coincidence of timing. If they are this dumb, I would be sorry to see Bert Roberts on the Valence board. But I don't think he's that dumb; I don't think he's dumb at all. His track record suggests quite the opposite.
