Regarding Sprint PCS's limited (geographic) coverage -- apparently, if you use "population" instead of "square miles of the U.S.," then Sprint PCS already covers a huge percentage of the country.

The problem (of course) is : what happens when you drive from "real city #1" to "real city #2" via some long stretch of interstate highway.

by looking at the map sprint is out it. very spotty coverage

The Sprint online maps are out of date. Give them a call and ask about certain areas and you'll find many of the areas are filled in.
