<From the article you cited: "included two identically outfitted PCs with one exception: The first had an AMD K6-3 400 CPU while the second held an Intel Pentium 2-450.">

I doubt that Anand or the guy from Sharky Extreme (Craig Campanaro) was allowed to inspect the two systems. The statement "two identically outfitted PCs" was probably something that was told by the AMD representative to Anand and Craig.

<You chose to cite a reference that states the K6-3 400 outperforms the PII-450 in Winstone. Then dismiss that citation by giving your opinion, pulled out of thin air, without any data to back it up. This is just intellectual laziness or confusion.>

Gee, that seems to be par for this thread, no? But I also said that I'll reserve my conclusions until I see some real benchmarks from people outside of AMD marketing. My opinion is just that, my opinion. If you want me to keep my opinions to myself, I'll just ask you to do the same.

<This means the only differences are the CPUs and chipsets. So, which part of the system is faster: a Taiwanese chipset vs. the Intel BX, or the AMD K6-3 400 vs. the Intel P2-450, or both? Do educate us.>

I posted the article because the claims that the K6-3 is going to outperform a faster-clocked Pentium II are based on a rather suspicious test. No, I don't believe that two identically outfitted PCs will show a difference in loading times of 7 to 8 seconds, even if the differences are the CPUs and the chipsets. If the difference were 2 to 3 seconds, I wouldn't raise any suspicions whatsoever, but 7 to 8 seconds is an eternity in today's computer world.
