A few comments: Ciller has been under investigation for corruption herself. She and Yilmaz should be a good partnership, they deserve each other. But true to Turkish form, what ever they could do they probably will foul up. Russia desperately needs to sell armaments to anybody. It is one of the few products anybody wants to buy that they can make. Saudi Arabian subsidies should be seriously diminished by the oil glut and their efforts to limit OPEC pumping. But Syria is a small country and probably won't need to be subsidized as much as a country like Egypt. Charles
