That I don't know. What I do know, however, is that one of the slickest little apps I've found is the Yahoo! Ticker. I have it running unobtrusively across the upper right-hand corner of my screen, where it gives me stock quotes, news, sports scores, and weather, each of which is easily configurable from my Yahoo! prefs page. Why in hell would I want something like Pointcast, which slaps a big, fat, and rather ugly screen full of junk on my desktop?

I think we can afford to let Pointcast go. Chances are they'll be out of the loop in the next couple years anyway, and Apple's online plans are only now gaining steam.
