Shero, Maybe 3% spread isn't much to you, but I like to buy QUALCOMM which is around $54 per share. 3% on that would be a spread of $1.50. Ouch!! I guess you are too wealthy to worry about minor details like that.

Here is the QUALCOMM spread:

Bid 54 1/4 Ask 54 7/16

Statistical review and linear regression analysis will produce a result less than 1% spread; near 3/16 of a dollar, which is about 18 cents, which is nearly 20 cents, which is 0.4% spread. Which is better than 3% spread. And you probably have to pay so many cents per share to buy it too. If you spend $10,000, you have to buy a LOT more TCLN shares, so have to fork over to the broker a lot more money. Unless you use Datek or the like and pay only so much per trade. Jack White and most brokers still charge so much per share.

Then again, using the way of looking at these things which many use, look how expensive QUALCOMM is! $54. What a huge price. And TCLN only $1. A 50th of the price. What a bargain.

Of course what really matters to the shareholder is the long run profits they make. But it's a shame that the broker takes a bigger chunk of your money at the start for TCLN than QCOM just because it has a lower price per share attached.

Shero, can you make sense of this?

I am not investment savvy on this kind of stuff. It is a link to market makers on the stock and shows monthly accumulation and selling. Is it of any relevance, even though it is only updated monthly?
