Dr. Gleitman:

Consolidation among internet companies starts taking place. This is fueled by the high valuations of the companies. look at AOL acquiring NSCP. Do they use cash? Of course not. The paper is worth much more than the greenback. The excuse? tax free exchange.

Consolidation will continue. The big companies surviving in the long term will be among others: MSFT, AOL, and YHOO. ONSL is e-commerce company which YAHOO does not have. It is cheap as compared to other internet stocks. So, I would not be surprised if YHOO will takeover ONSL. For more infor, please check ONSL thread and several of my posts there.

That is the reason I keep hoping that Dell will get into e-commerce. Holidays like this make people reluctant to go to shopping malls. Buying through the internet is the wave of the future. Beneficiaries:
1. Internet companies with e-commerce. There will be a company which is the Wal-mart of the internet. 2. Fed-Ex, UPS, Airborne etc.

Buying direct is not limited to computers anymore.

I wish I have an e-mail address to Dell suggesting this. If many of us agree to the above concept, why don't we send that idea to Dell?

Best regards

Paul.
