What's up with the rummy management at TMBS? They seem to be having trouble with the mechanics of a stock split. Talk about management not fit for the times. <g>

I can explain sort of, based on what I hear on local business radio. Various money types pay the radio for a slot, get on and tout CSCO, AOL, AMZN, and so on all day long. That's why. I was listening to one guy yesterday taking calls from women whose voice tone indicated to me that they might have been in their 70's, one biddy asked this radio tout what it would mean to her Netscape now that AOL bought Netscape, would she own both stocks, and he asked if she wanted to own AOL, and she said yes, and he congratulated her with an oily tone and explained that she would now own AOL shares. The next biddy called in and wanted to know what would happen to her AOL shares, and he told her she would still own AOL, it would just make them more valuable.

Reminds me of the time a couple of months ago the son of some biddy called up, demanded an explanation why the same radio tout had suggested people buy something I have no recollection what, but it sounded like a really dumb move, and the tout got all huffy and explained that he was no longer recommending that stock and had sold his, and why hadn't the guy's mother sold hers?

This guy has free seminars, he serves chocolate cake, he sounds like the smarmy kind that many women fall for. Hello, guys? What is your mom up to these days? Better find out . . .
