I don't understand why people buy on the announcement of significant sales. First of all, for the earning per share to be projected at $.4 vs. $.25 last year something had to happen.

Second, the future sales growth, that is mentioned in the news release, was already factored into the stock price.

Third, the final value of your stock will be based on earnings not sales.

Today a different company issued a news release stating that its sales had increased 112% over last year. Further down in the news release it stated that net loss had increased about 51%. The stock dropped.

My guess is that the people buying the stock now were not aware that MGMA owned a company that made magazines about people with their clothes on. But sales of these magazines were included when projecting the estimated earnings per share of $.40.

Don't forget about the convertible stocks and notes.
