Sprint analog/roaming Final comment. Obviously Sprint's intent is to reduce where possible, and eventually eliminate, the need for analog roaming. This won't be a step function event where suddenly Sprint digital is ubiquitous. Rather, holes will get filled and coverage areas expanded gradually. So the cost equation versus BANM will steadily improve over time. Having said this, I have paid up for dual mode 800mhz service because I agree with you regarding the short-run aggravation. To all: In the spirit of the holiday, I have a few thanks of my own I would like to share: Thank you Gregg for your patience, your information, your clearheadedness, and your knowledge. Thank you michael piturro for your undying, diligent and exhaustive search for any and all articles containing the word "Qualcomm" or words rhyming with Qualcomm, or mentioning wireless. :-) Thank you Clark Hare and Engineer for your technical expertise and willingness to share. Can't say I follow most of it, but I do pick things up occasionally. Thank you Maurice for your creative and well-thought out cheerleading. (Though not in an empty and vaccuous sense, of course.) Thank you Tero and Mika for being willing to challenge the mighty collective brainpower of those who post on the thread. <g> Ditto to Dave and Rajala. Without you guys the thread would get pretty bland. Though you are worng most of the time of course. <gg> Thank you Jon Koplik for your injections of levity and humor. This is certainly not a comprehensive list. I truly appreciate the unique things the thread offers me on a daily and often hour-by-hour basis and all of the people who make it what it is.
