Here's a little update on the surmised JNNE-TSIS calling card connection. JNNE put out an update today, revealing the unnamed telecommunications leader as GTE. Since JNNE is one of TSIS investor-reach clients, and since TSIS is doing calling card business with GTE, I think there is a connection here. If so, it is interesting to see how quickly this developed. Here is the release:

Jones Naughton Entertainment, Inc. to Offer GTE Prepaid Calling Cards to Advertising Clients

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1998--Jones Naughton Entertainment, Inc. (OTC BB:JNNE) and its AMS, Inc. subsidiary elaborated on an earlier announcement confirming they have received authorization from the Prepaid Calling Card Division of GTE Communications Corporation (NYSE:GTE) to offer prepaid calling cards as a promotional service to its existing advertising clients.

Jones Naughton and AMS, Inc. intend to offer these cards to clients as part of the family of media products currently available. Advertising clients can place promotional announcements in the initial welcome greeting of the instructional guidelines. Companies can use this opportunity to inform customers on goods and services available through their firm and to increase name recognition.

After listening to the promotional greeting and calling instructions, customers will be allowed to make free calls for a predetermined length of time. When the amount of time is used up the caller can pay for additional time via credit card. Additional services such as store locators, customer surveys, call transfers, warranty registration and consumer tracking can be added to the telecommunication service.

"Adding promotional prepaid calling card products to our existing list of media services gives our advertising base a unique approach to informing customers of new products and services and increases name recognition. Preliminary interest from our advertisers has been very strong. Joining forces with an industry giant such as GTE provides us with a quality partner that can handle complex technical applications and large volumes of call traffic.

"The sale of calling cards will add to our revenue stream and launch Jones Naughton into the mainstream of marketing telecommunications products and services," stated Patrick M. Rost, director of Business Development for Jones Naughton Entertainment, Inc.

"and I think it is time we started to play the game right back"

Just curious how you propose that we might do that.
