Ah but the folks standing up for the Dali Lama are hardly the same folks standing outside women's clinics badgering patients. Buddhists after all are probably not much better than atheists. I am pretty sure most of the Christian right folks would not want to find themselves living next to Tibetan's much less defending the Tibet's right to autonomy or the right of the Tibetan people to be ruled by their religious leader. And the people who protest capital punishment are very often far left or Catholic. I think the Catholics are more consistent than the Baptists in this so let's give them a higher grade in consistency.

Do you deserve to be ridiculed? No. I do not believe I was doing that. I happen to be against abortion personally myself.

But I have no religious beliefs, so human life has only the value for me which I choose to place on it. I see that there are many instances in which I approve of the taking of a human life. I personally feel assisted suicide is appropriate. I feel there is nothing wrong with taking one's own life. I feel allowing critically ill infants to die (such as anacephalic infants) is appropriate. I cannot find it in me to fight for laws which would force every woman to bear every child she becomes pregnant with because 1. I do not wish to care for all those children and 2. I do not wish to pay for their care.

If you object to violence and death than you object to the human animal- which is violent and which ultimately dies. The Bible is full of violence and death- much of it cause by God, who must enjoy violence and death since he caused so much of it in the old testament.

If you think it takes Jerry Springer or Jack Kevorkian to get one child to kill another than you have not been reading the news from Rwanda or Somalia or Bosnia. People do not need television shows to kill each other. They only need the belief in their heart that they are above the law- that they ARE the law- because they have a gun. It is gang mentality- it has been with us since we left our caves, and will be with us until we blow ourselves up.

>X, I would tell you that in any debate, written or oral, you would win hands down, as I do not have the education to compete with you. <

Sir/madam: I beg to differ here. I have a great deal of education and I honor you.
