thanks matt - sorry all. Here are the reasons:

Glimmer GME.V

- fundamentals - value play - hurt by gold sector - also awaiting court summary - decision already in GME's favour - just waiting for final decree by court in Dec. - when uncertainty removed, bounce up expected

- book value well higher - co is profitable - possible buyout; heard that book value about $2.50
- producttion cost <$225 / oz

RIM Research in Motion

- wireless/mobility products
- the internet car has RIM's technology inside to connect to the Net
- already has evaluation orders with GM and Ford
- RIM's portable computer - can receive and send voice and pagers and e-mail; can send faxes; a true 2-way modem - no other product in world like it; Bell South in the USA is selling a service using the device
- connect to Internet with GoAAmerica and 3Com's Palm Pilot - RIM's modem is inside
- Duncan Stewart (Tera Capital) invested in it

-> these are NOT only day trades, rather holds for a month to few months on each and longer on RIM is OK and possibly on GME if buyout heats up more
