Morning, Zax...

I read your reply with great interest. I'm still spectating here (for now) but I still have doubts on these issues..

1) what about the notification from the nasdaq and the alleged delay in taking care of it...wouldn't you say something is rotten in the state of discoland here ?

2) i just don't see who all will be buying on the net. Living in a big city like you do, there are tons of music stores, and 2) the book stores are getting great music sections. I volunteered in a high school recently and the kids don't have much $ for music, let alone a computer with net access to buy stuff, let alone a credit card for the purchase...whether amazon, ktel or someone else grabs the market share, have you evaluated the potential for all e-commerce re books/music/videos. I guess what I'm getting at is, maybe amazon belongs at 5 dollars not 205,but maybe ktel will be at 5 dollars too.
I sense you see e-commerce companies will level out, fine, but maybe they will all level out at a lower price. Ultimately consumers will not have more to spend than they already have. My mom used to buy from the home shopping network, but it was really a novelty and it quickly wore off...Won't the net be similar ?

Eric, I'm looking forward to a response, or from anyone else !

Eric, another issue, what do you think of y2k, and also, I hope you had a great holiday in New York...

Happy thanksgiving

Howard

Zax, I still want to know about ktel's delay in dealing with the nasdaq notification. Do you not find htis puzzling ?

Business week 2.0 had an interesting article on Excite. Have you looked at it...

As far as squeezing shorts, I don't get this. If you short a stock thru , say , Ameritrade, can the owner of the stock you borrowed decide one hr later he wants it back. I thought it was a paper entry and you could only get squeezed via a margin call.
