The correction camp tends to be a bunch of lilly livered wishy washy group who aren't willing to commit themselves one way or another so they can sort of claim victory no matter what happens. This is why Bob and others toss them out when doing calculation. When presented with an undeniable trend like the one since October they willingly jump over there and that is what we see now. Seriously I think looking at the calculation the way Bob does it or looking more particularly at the % of bulls or bears in isolation probably all have good historical significance and obviously will closely correlate with each other. I have seen a number of others use the bull/(bull+bear) and that 70% bullish sentiment mark which we haven't yet reached has been awfully good lately at pointing out corrections or possible bear markets without even considering the fundamentals.
