In regard to the wrong previous high on the Mach6 gap lists... in the last two weeks we switched over to our own realtime data feeds (basically, we're wired directly to NASDAQ, NYSE, AMEX, etc., plus the five Canadian exchanges... adding OPRA very soon). We had a year of testing in on our existing datafeed before the vendor yanked support of it. That drove our decision to have full control over our data. So, with two weeks of testing in, we've turned up a couple small problems... this was one and we're currently tracking it down. As a side note, if you're interested in helping us test (and this is currently a secret, but since this thread has been a great motivator for us, I'll break the news here and you guys can take advantage of it if you want), we are taking 50 signups which will get free realtime streaming data for the next three months (essentially, while the feeds settle down and we round out the dataset). You're still liable for exchange fees, but if you just take US realtime data, it'll cost you a total of $38.10 for three months of streaming realtime... which I think is as low as it can go. If you do decide to go this route, you should first download the Mach6 client and make sure it runs fine for you. This is all new technology, and it's 150,000 lines of Java code, which implies that there can be some issues on older or slower machines. The good news is you can download and run Mach6 complete with charts and such, for free in delayed mode. If it works fine for you, you can try for one of the 50 free realtime accounts (remember "free" means we will still bill you for the exchange fees, they won't let us get away from that requirement). A future version of Mach6 will have gap list support built right into the application... If you're not one of the first 50, and still want some inexpensive realtime data, we're offering a promotion beyond that for a big discount (check the website, I'm not sure what the policy here is on posting prices and stuff, and I don't want to violate them and make this an advertisement) for the first three months. Our site has not announced that we're taking signups yet, and the announcement will go out in a couple of days, so this is insider info of sorts :-). We've picked a couple individuals to do initial testing, and things seem ok, but keep in mind that you're still helping us test by going into this. Realtime data is new for us... If you see problems, as well as posting the problems here, it can be helpful to drop us a line at support@mach6.net so we can look into them right away and get a fix in. If you're interested in signing on for realtime, first check out the application and make sure you're happy with it by downloading from here:mach6.net There is no obligation, and if you want, you can use it in delayed mode forever... the charts (intraday, no historical yet) are quite good... If you are satisfied, and want to go for a three month realtime account, sign up here:mach6.net If you're one of the first 50, you're going to be golden... Thank you all for your feedback on the gap lists. We feel like it's done something to make our site unique. We do hope that you've been able to make some money off of it! - darcy
