I got Quicken download to work BUT it doesn't match up trades automatically because Datek sends them in random order, just like in the end of month statement. With partial odd lot island fills, going in and out of a stock several times a day, going long then short -- matching trades can be very tedious. If done incorrectly your balance and profit/loss can be way off.

Quicken also sent a bunch of trades where the security was UNKNOWN. I didn't bother trying to figure that one out

So I am back to doing it the way I used to do it because it works better AND faster-- I wrote a bare bones DOS utility that'll convert the datek history data to the QUICKEN QIF format. It can convert the whole year in a few seconds if need be. Then import it into Quicken

The DEEP history file only holds a limited number of trades. When it fills up, your online record of trades will be lost when they are bumped from the RECENT history file. So I take a few min to run it once month and it's done with

I wrote this utility for my own personal use, then added some directions and decided to make it freeware. I've posted it on this thread in the past but if you or anybody else wants a free copy email me at zipwork@aol.com and request it.

Steve
