Howard Hence you have a choice save money and buy an APC UPS, or equivalent, and make use of the warrantee if your computer ever gets zapped or pay a lot more for a Best UPS. That sums up the situation. I'm gonna give Sean's OptiUPS a try. As i indicated, when I lived in the Big apple I had very little reason for power filure concerns but out here in the country is a whole different ballgame ...... I expect this enviroment to force me to be more disiplined with a formal backup strategy...which is a good thing:-) Thanks for your excellent sumation Clarence
