Just wanted to extend my wish to all of you to have a happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones. I think we all need a day to forget about business and just surround ourselves with those who make us thankful to be alive.

I would also like to express my personal thanks to so many on this thread that have given so much time and energy to help all of us sift through the mountains of information. There are many I could thank, but I have been particularly helped by Joe Medsker, James Alton and Grupo Brad. But thanks to all.

Finally, an ironic note. My thanks to George Eberting for being the person who originally pointed me to DCI. God works in mysterious ways!!! LOL

See you all after the holiday.

Hello again Joe,

Sorry for a serious post on Thanksgiving. Please disregard for a day or two.

I think that I just don't understand the difference between naked shorts and shorts that are shorting borrowed shares. Could someone please give me a sort-of detailed analysis of the process difference between these two ways of shorting?

Grant

Silicon Investor -GNET- DCTC- Concerned Stockholder

Thank you for your concern about stock manipulation on SI message
boards. Go2Net has taken this subject very seriously. As you well
know, Go2Net is not a government entity and has no prosecutorial
powers. The proper parties to sue illegal manipulators are the
government and injured parties of the companies whose stocks are being
manipulated. The SEC aggressively investigates complaints of
manipulation on message boards. Furthermore, many individual companies
and shareholders are also seeking legal recourse for manipulation of
stocks on the message boards.

Go2Net as a matter of policy will not terminate an SI member for
shorting a stock and does not seek to weed out members for illegal
manipulation for the simple reason that Go2Net is not the proper party
to recognize and prosecute securities violations. When alerted to
possible violations, Go2Net has and will continue to assist government
investigations into possible illegal activities on its boards.

I have looked at some of Lucky's posts on the DCTC thread and by this
member's own admission they are shorting the stock. I also noted that
several other posters on the thread have challenged Lucky's position.
Anyone who visits that thread will realize two things very quickly: (a)
Lucky is a shorter and (b) Lucky is not the most well-liked poster on
the thread.

As I am sure you are aware, Go2Net has some active shorters posting
messages on its thread. While we disagree with what they say, we leave
it to others to counter their posts. Supporters of the stock seem to
consistently respond. This dialogue benefits everyone and ensures that
SI will remain the marketplace exchange of ideas.
