Anyone familiar with the buying patterns around these analyst visits? How long after the 12/3 visit before we begin to see some analyst output? When might we see a formal projection of earnings estimates to tape up next to Fred's? It's been a great few weeks after a long wait (although not as long as some). I figured now that we're in the double digits I could pony up the 60 bucks. Looking forward to sifting through whatever the analysts crank out. Here's hoping it holds on to these levels 'til then (er..., up would be alright too). Happy T-Day all.

November's short interest info. Notice how average daily volume has picked up and thus less than 3 days required for the shorts to cover.
do you think they are getting nervous now? Type in VLNC at

Ram: Speaking of a report from NI...would it make sense if the threadsters here call their brokers & see if, per chance, they or any of their colleagues might be taking this trip in? I think it might be helpful if we could get several "takes" on how it went. I am with DLJ who is a MM for VLNC & I will, for sure, contact them on Friday & try to ferret this info from them & to get a report back should they attend.
Hopefully, some of the other SI folks here will see merit in this idea & talk to their broker/advisor.
Keeping the faith, Dennis
