Here's how I would write it up if I were a journalist:

Headline: Christmas Comes One Month Early For Newbridge Shareholders

First Line: Long suffering shareholders of Newbridge Networks could be forgiven for thinking today was December 25 instead of November 25 after shares in the Ottawa-based networking company surged more than 17 %.

How's that?
