i think you must be short and getting slammed. sorry about that. you can make it up though. change your position and go long. PS if you have nothing to contribute, lurking is ok. i suggested the other day that you go back and read the posts. just call that your oft referred to due diligence. the info you say you want is all there. go get it.

Tim,

What got me originally interested in Rambus was a statement Pete McWilliams of Intel made as to why they selected Rambus technology over any other. In a nutshell, Intel sees the ability to extend Rambus technology over MULTIPLE GENERATIONS of processors whereas DDR and SDRAM are at the limit of their extensibility. I think this quote was from December 1996 or thereabouts, and in one of the EET articles or Semiconductor news publications, but I cant find it now.
