The following is an excerpt of an article on evworld.com entitled" Sparrow Ptm- The future of motion by Tom Corbin You can read it all or just read the enclosed excerpt.
**********************************************************************
The company has opened up preliminary discussions with
Ovonics on their nickel metal hydride (NiMH) battery technology
as a possible future replacement for lead acid. Corbin also
hinted at a much more advanced vehicle which is on the
drawing boards, one he characterizes as much more "high tech"
and in tune with the 21st century. This vehicle will be built
around Ovonic's NiMH battery technology. He wouldn't say
more than that, other than to say it would cost upwards of
$20,000 or more.

Corbin feels that, "any new electric vehicle is good for
everyone." He sees there are niches to be filled by companies
like his, as well as the large OEMs in Detroit and Japan and
Europe. "Our target market is is make it commercially viable for
anybody that would like (an EV). If you like electric vehicles, you
like what they represent, the clean air, the the easy parking... we
want to have a vehicle you can buy affordably. That was our
goal."

Well Fred, I normally leave the NiMH batteries in the charger for about 12 hours, and don't seem to have any problems. I haven't noticed any discoloration, and they just keep going, and going, and going.....
