I did get the problem straight. It was built with a video driver from may that was obsolete. The october version did the trick. I was pretty surprised that Dell customer support was so incompetent at solving the question (and incredibly rude). I had to figure it out myself. It is a beautiful machine. But I have a complaint in to their customer service. I guess they put the people with the best personalities on the sell side.
