To "Bongagong". my friend. you have a EXCELLENT point about the potential (likelihood) of our company being acquired (bought-out) by one (1) of the "big-boys"!! however there is even an answer (defense) to having this happen. it is really quite complicated - and i am certainly NOT an attorney - buy i know that "it" can be done. in the most simplistic terms it is called a - "POISON PILL DEFENSE"!! like i said it is VERY complicated - perhaps other members on this board can enlighten us all as to how it is actually done - but as i understand it the company simply puts a certain amount of shares of stocks in "reserve". these shares canNOT be acquired by ANYONE unless the management of the company decides to "release" them. these "reserved" shares become reserved (are "triggered") whenever another company tries to acquire a certain amount (percentage) of the existing "float" of the shares of the company. like i said - i could have the "nuts and bolts" of how this is actually done ALL WRONG - but i DO know that IT CAN BE DONE and that it is being done everyday by a lot of companies. i am sure (at least i hope) that the management of this company is smart enough to have ALREADY PLANNED for such an "event" to happen and have some kind of a "defense" against it!! actually we should contact "management" and ask them (directly) what they really think about the probability of this kind of a "buy-out" actually happening and what they have already planned (if anything) to do about it!! again, you bring-up a VERY excellent point and one (1) that we should all - immediately - start to think about and PLAN A DEFENSE FOR!! take care, my friend.
