Thanks, I will make sure my people are monitoring this to answer questions. I am really enjoying the SI, I am new to this believe it or not.

Just in case anyone cares:

I am President of Terra Nova and Archipelago. I am 40 years old and have been in the business for almost 17 years. I have, prior to starting TNT, been primarily on the institutional side of the business. Yes Prudential Securities did fire me. I was accused of executing Nikki futures for a customer without permission. It was the mother of all Nikki trades thousands of options and futures for a big hedge fund. The trades were however authorized, and I proved it by getting a transcript of the recorded trading desk calls I made to get approval. The firing was really the result of my poor relationship with a manager at the Chicago office. He was incompetent and I called him on it more than once. He hated me. Pru dropped their arbitration case after they read the tape transcripts.
I have no regulatory history. You can check this at www.NASDR.com. Type my name Gerald Putnam and firm name terra nova trading and you will be notified if there was ever a problem with my record.

I got into the day trading business by opening a office for traders in Chicago. I than expanded into the remote office business. In fact I invented it. I connected offices over wide area networks, taking the regulatory burden and technology burden off the reps.

I came up with the idea of starting an ECN after attending a meeting sponsored by NASDAQ to discuss the new order handling rules.
