I think the takeover rumour attracted some speculators who exited after the rumour was quashed. However, the real move in the stock has occurred through improved fundamentals, the China contract, and the expected global contract coming next week. Institutional up-grades aren't caused by buy-out rumours. Merril Lynch also reports that this is traditionally a difficult quarter for NN, and points to new management as the source of improving performance. When Newbridge decides to move, it is usually substantial in one direction or the other. The move up today was excellent, considering th Canadian market usually treads water when the US is closed....R
