Ken nobody said this was ebay because if it was the title of the thread was ebay. This company is an up and commer...its not ebay. What you may not understand is ebay's revenue used to be $20,000,000 at one point!!

This stock will likely be profitable by 3rd quarter 1999 or earlier. It has 30,000,000 shares outstanding. it has $10 million in the bank.

It has possibilities. Ebay has increased by a factor of 2.45; BII by a factor of 3.2.

BII was undervalued not fairly valued before it started its way upwards.

It looks like Ebay is doing huge volumes on their site by comparison Bid.com looks positively quiet.

Are you surprised?? You are comparing apples to oranges.

How will their AOL deal stand up against the Netscape merger?

if Netscape had bought out AOL the "contract may have been in jeopardy". AOL will still live up to its side of the bargain

I think I will sell tomorrow hopefully at a profit.Anyone thinking of buying this stock needs to visit the site first.

I agree noone should be in a stock they don't like. Agree again the site is very well put together and in time will become the "standard"!!

don't try to compare Lexus to GM there bottom lines are way way apart but both put out a good product.

Appreciate your contrarian point of view

<<I just signed on with bid.com....compared to Ebay it does not come close>>

Problem is, you should not compare the two. Egghead.com is a better match. Ebay is basicaly classified pages on the net. Bid.com is selling brand new stuff, and it has a (small) Canadian niche, and it may have a (small) future CableTV niche.

I must admit Egghead and Onsale will be serious competition, it will depend on how big the internet market will be. Like there is place for a few car makers, there will be places for a few good internet business. Time will tell...

>> Ebay has a market cap of $760million US; ...BII has a market cap of $113million <<

You are off by around 7.5 billion dollars...Ebay's market cap is 8.23 billion dollars.

For the nine months ended 9/30/98, Ebay's revenue totalled $27.9 million, up from $3.1 million. Net income rose 28% to $878 thousand. Results reflect increased activity on the eBay web site, partially offset by continued personnel increases.

Ebay's market cap is over 75 times higher than BII's!
