I'm new to trading and this thread so I'd really appreciate
some words of wisdom about what to expect over the next 45 days.
It seems like last year stocks dipped a little, then we
had a Santa Claus rally and then another low until the 2nd
week of January and things began to take off again. What market
forces will be in play (ie tax loss selling, cyclicals, wash
sales, etc ???) and how do we moderate with the short term hold
strategy? Should I try to work into a stronger cash position, look
for a dip and then a short rally around Christmas to sell on and
a buy again in January?

Thanks all, FoxGlove
