More on SPYGLASS -

>Yes, I know it is and hope a deal with GIC is for real.

Skane, actually GIC already bought 5% of SPYG. The buzz now is that SunMicro is looking to acquire SPYG or form a major alliance as a result of the AOL/NSCP deal. As AOL stated, they are heading into the internet device market. SPYG actually worked w/SUNW on developing Java and SPYG can bring technologies to the table that SUNW & NSCP don't have. SPYG has the time-to-market expertise that could accelerate AOL's entry into this market.

Some are saying that SUNW wants to grab SPYG first because SPYG has also been working with MSFT. In fact, SPYG just formed a Windows CE consulting practice to address the growing demand for Embedded CE projects.

**Here's what MSFT said about SPYG:

"Spyglass has a wealth of experience and familiarity with the development of Windows CE-based applications on a variety of devices," said Frank Fite, director, Windows CE Product Unit. "This new practice makes sense in light of the momentum that is building for the Windows CE operating system as it applies to the device and embedded systems space."

As you can see, SPYG is sitting pretty now because their solutions can work on ANY operating system. A SUNW-SPYG-AOL team would no doubt put even more pressure on MSFT.

With a market cap of ONLY $350 million, I can see why SPYG is an easy takeover target. It is a true internet play in the multi-billion dollar device market.

Even at $35/shr, SPYG's market cap would only be at $470 million.
