something important to note as well however is that when the short interest in a stock jumps up that is actually TECHNICALLY a BULLISH sign. Sounds kooky but it is true.....when the short interest is up....the stock has guaranteed buyers waiting in the wings to snap up shares......And we have seen probably with BII and most definitely with others in the past how violent that short covering buying can be........
For this reason.....as long as we are not talking OTC-BB stocks here....a company that experiences a spike in its short interest should not be " panicking " or should I say....the investors..shareholders should not freak when they see this....It truly is considered bullish.
