Isn't it one of KLIC's customers?

In what way do you think it might threaten KLIC? ... by ordering more equipment than KLIC can make?

RE:anybody familar with Amkor and its threat to KLIC?

Amkor is the world's largest subcontractor for semiconductor assembly and packaging services. Amkor is a KLIC customer and most likely a very large one. They package ICs on a contract basis using KLIC equipment. I'm not aware of Amkor going into the equipment business. If Amkor is going into the equipment business, can you provide more information on their efforts there?

TIA for any info.

Edit-sorry Ian addressed this question in the previous post.
