It's more of a big hill, really. No name. Escaping the clan is not easy. It took years of work. Finally at long last I got only one call today "why don't you come on over" "nahhh" "you're feeling anti-social again?" "yeah, sure. that's it." <g> Niece asks "so you have to be alone today?" "no, I don't have to be." I think my favorite thanksgiving was when Howard, an old dude that hung out at the C&W bar in SF, asked me to spend the day there with him. His mother had recently died and he was down. He'd had a bunch of invites but he said he didn't wanna do any of 'em, just wanted to sit there an play dice and not be bothered. It was a nice day. Sometimes there's nothing better than being able to hang out with someone and not be happyhappy. And if they don't talk beyond the occasional grunt, all the better.
