what board do i need in order to have up to 4 monitors thanks

I am not the best one to ask but I can shed some light. A lot depends on your operating system and how much you want to spend. You can purchase a single multimonitor card that supports up to four monitors. If you have limited expansion slots this could be a necessity. This is also the most expensive way to go.

Win 98 has support for multimonitors. With Win 98 you just have to choose Win98 supported video cards.

You can also install multiple cards in NT. The multimonitor capability in NT comes from the card manufacturer. Matrox is one that provides this capability.

If you tell us your operating system, the number of available expansion slots maybe someone can get a little more specific.
