I believe they are scheduled to begin on Saturday/Sunday. So they probably arent on the air yet. This weekend they will be and I think it is going to get pretty exciting around here. Tomorrow will be very telling. Will there be alot of accumulation before the weekend? I think it is likely.

Are you the same Howard D. Epstein, M.D. being investigated by the AMA?

Dr. Epstein,

First of all let me wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. It was a very peaceful one here in the Colorado mountains.

<I hope this stock jumps, too, but also hope that the people who watch TV when the infomercials are on TV are the same people who embrace technology and will use it. It would be helpful to know if anyone spots short takes during prime time.>

My mother in-law and her mother own and operate a small flea market in south Denver. They are truly computer illiterate except for using one to enter daily sales and basic bookeeping entries. They buy and sell antique dolls and beanie babies in their store and within the last few months have had a web page made for their store. Very basic but still a part of the technology. Here is their page.

The wonder and beauty of the internet is the simplicity of using it. Once a neophyte user gets over the initial fear of the machine and they begin to experience the freedom and access to information they begin to reach out to pull the technology into their life. Very quickly it seems we have become used to and dependant upon this tool. The exponential growth in new users we will continue to see will provide the customer base and once they get used to online shopping will begin voting which etailer is the best with their dollars.

All of the new etailers will have time to polish their stores. Just look at Egghead.com and the wonderful job they have accomplished with their new website. It is well ordered, disciplined and simple. It will be a great success in my opinion. I agree that NM is a little busy in appearance but I think the management is into the battle soon enough to claim a victory if they remain flexible enough to improve on the idea.

The marketing and affiliation with Mitsui made me invest in NM. Alliances will in the long term prove to be vital for the survival of internet companies and NM with their Mitsui alliance has already placed themselves with a global marketing orientation.

I bought and sold Onsale a few weeks ago and am kicking myself for only taking a $4 profit with a three day investment. A few years ago a 7% return on my money in a year was acceptable to me. Now I am looking to double it every year.

As Dylan said, "The times they are a chang'in."

I bought in NM on Friday and think that it is the best net play existing at this point and time. I saw a commercial with the everything4less website posted on it, but it was the day before I knew what I was even looking at. It was the mom from happy days I believe and the only thing I can remember is saying to myself, "boy these e-commerce companies are everywhere". Sorry but I couldn't even tell you what the commercial was about, but the Everything4less web name stuck in my mind. It was on a widely watched network and made the company look like a big player(using celebs and all). I am sorry I can't remember more details, but like I said, I knew nothing of the company at the time.
