John & Thread / Excitement - Lost Hills Has Been Found

Thanks for the update. Have a good trip. Take a lap-top with you.

It's nice to see what's happening to shareholders who are indirectly participating in this story. So many times we get tied up into a speculative story, only to see it fizzle to nothing. There is a foundation of substance beneath this play now and I am in hopes it continues as the script is indicating.

Interesting info released in bits and pieces as local coverage provides news on the story. I guess at this point, the most interesting fact to determine is where the fire originated. That will indicate how long it will take to get it under control. Talk about drilling a relief well does worry me a little for it would be negative in terms of time.

One of the articles posted at the Korner mentions a little history of drilling in Kern County and elsewhere. I wonder just how big a play this is - going beyond current acreage holdings. Who else might benefit. Tight hole status appears to be a far gone conclusion topic now. Does anyone know how this target was derived and formation info. I imagine quite a few operating concerns are going to be looking for deep pockets in the formation from this point forward.

I know you have probably taken a share impact study as to how this well may impact each company's shares. In your opinion, whose shares stand to appreciate more (percentage wise) at today's prices.

Anyone????

I have always considered the Lost Hills Play as a kicker for the larger Canadian companies in this joint venture. It's bad to be backed up on your own one yard line with a fourth down confronting you. It's good when your kicker provides a 98 yard punt. It gets better when the other team fumbles on their one yard line putting you on the offensive. Then it is excellent when you score on the next play and you win the game under adverse conditions. An underdog over-achieving. That's the real story here. The oil & gas industry is in a crisis -- but the Lost hills Play is winning the game.

To all of you on this thread, continued success with your holdings.

Just remembered -- someone mentioned Lost Hills got some press in the Canadian newspapers. If someone could take the time and post the articles here for the thread visitors without access to the info, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, anyone finding news on Lost Hills on the web ---- please bring it to my attention so I can post the info at Kerm's Korner. Thanks in advance.
