Chuzzlewit;
I take a completely different approach. I try to identify a position which will assure me a specific rate of return. In other words, I will not take a position unless it assumes:

1. A return which meets my threshold (at least 3%)
2. An equity which demonstrates enough upward momentum which
will give me the confidence I need to be comfortable with
my 3% return within a 30 day time frame.
3. An industry which is in favor. Techs will be around for a
long time, however you have to distinguish between high risk
internet providers, retailers (AMAZ, YAHOO, etc.)networkers and earnings driven issues such as DELL, NN, CA, MSFT, INTC.

Due to the volatility of the issues, it's difficult to confine analysis to a particular mathematical model. Historical results tend to define future trends. Just MHP.

Thanks for your response,

Mike
