Well, I'm not particularly happy to see the OSX dropping today, but it is nice to see that fundamentals count for something.

I think you are right about us are driving less, but the average family has 3 or 4 cars now fwiw

When you shop on line the product or products come to your home via a not so fuel efficient UPS or FedEx TRUCK. I'm not convinced that home shopping results in a net fuel reduction. Telecommuting however is a different story. Working at home and conferences by satellite as opposed to air travel will make a difference. Perhaps this will be offset somewhat by increased personal travel. Finally fuel consumption growth is most likely a global phenomena lead by under developed or developing countries, not the U.S., Europe, etc.
