August -- Let's keep our fingers crossed. Lot's of these unnoticed viable gems are starting to get noticed. Look at PPOD, IDX, etc. Cool stuff happening, literally all of a sudden, with these second and third-tier "internet" plays... Also, a low-level buzz about e-banking, bill pay, bill presentment, etc. seems to be building slowly. Time to sit back and see what unfolds. RK P.S. Just saw a GREAT program on PBS called "the History of the Internet" or something. The thing's about 3 hours long and covers the explosive growth of Netscape, Cisco, 3Com, AOL, etc. Real down-to-earth, unhyped presentation, with interviews with all the players (including Gates and Steve Ballmer, the President of MS, who, in my opinion, comes off looking like a greedy, world-dominating IDIOT). Just fascinating to see all these ordinary Joe's and Jane's who made it big by flaunting conventional thinking -- very inspiring. One very interesting comment was by, I think, Larry Ellision of Oracle, in that we're only in the SECOND year of internet adoption. To paraphrase -- Think of where automobiles where in their second year of broad market acceptance -- a crank to get the thing started, gigantic, inefficient engines, and generally unsafe at any speed (the things didn't even have rear-view mirrors originally, 'cause Cops didn't want to be spotted trailing speeders). I just think that folks like us who follow CF and other trailblazers are so far ahead of the curve that we lose sight of the progress that's been made and how much there is that's left to accomplish. Six more months, IMHO, is not alot of time to wait...
