Victor,

I wouldn't necessarily disagree on the trading range.....
it is going to take a quarter or two of solid earnings to make a push to new all-time highs....but when the big boys come back.....they come back hard (fund managers). The same way they dumped in January.
IMO that is when we will see a break through, until then, maybe the upper end of the trading range....although, i think the bottom of the range may be 32ish.

this is a classic example of why technical research is not a bible and just a supplement to fundamental analysis. From a chartist angle WMX and CPQ may look similar in the short term. That is where the similarities end. I can't think of one comparison regarding the waste industry and the technology industry. On another matter, Dorsey gave us a glimpse of why he is a technician and not a fundamental analyst. The computer industry is not mature. It is growing in the high double digits. Not mature in any sense. I didn't see the interview, but the quotes attributed to him would make him sound very uninformed and not qualified to give investment advise. Finally, why would a trader not buy a stock in a trading range of 34-38 when it is 34 3/8. My school of technical trading says this is where you buy and then sell near 38. I think Dorsey may have been better staying home today
