All of these crap companies exploding up and SEEK creeps at the pace of a wounded snail! Slightly frustrating!

Infoseek (SEEK:Nasdaq) said it has renegotiated a deal with Netscape (NSCP:Nasdaq). Infoseek said it will continue as a premier search provider on Netscape Netcenter. The number of Netscape users who do not specify a search provider and are presented Infoseek as their search service automatically will be reduced to 5% in early 1999, from the 15% position of today. As part of the new agreement, Infoseek will pay an average of 20% more for the Netscape traffic it receives. Aggregate traffic coming from Netscape is projected to be less than 4% of all Infoseek traffic in January prior to when the change occurs. Infoseek rose 2 9/16, or 7.7%, to 36. Netscape was up 1/2 to 39 7/8.
