there is Biomira, the Canadian biotech that shot up from $2 to $17 on Nasdaq, but did not open on Toronto. Nasdaq halts the stock and when it reopens, it tanks down to $4 1/2. All this because someone recommended the stock on a TV program.


I see the shorts still have the power to work stocks to their advantage. Funny how on the TSE, a stock with a massive volume of short selling, will be halted if it rises too much too fast and nothing is done to halt it when it tanks massively downwards. Seen this on many other stocks before.
