Lobster over on the THQ yahoo board posted that a Best Buy in MN received 38 copies of Rugrats for PS. At 285 Best Buys nationwide, this is over 10,000 copies shipped to Best Buy. I am out of town and don't have my THQ files, but if Best Buy is 5% of THQ's business, that there was at least 200,000 copies of Rugrats shipped.

Andy,

Maybe THQI should change its name to THQ.com. These would be an absolute sure bet of at least 500% return in just a couple of weeks.

CNBC reported A Bug's Life and Rugrats were doing "very well and these two are expected to make lots of money for their moviemakers"
Good news for THQI!

Kelvin

P.S. Bought ONSL @ 22 and at sold 96. Nice profit, gambling or not.

Hi Andy,

Have you heard any buzz (usenet or otherwise) about Nitro PC? It's my pick for sleeper of the quarter and I'm wondering if there's any excitement or not. There certainly hasn't been any real bandwidth devoted to it here or on the other threads. Maybe that's because it is sort of a stealth title, like Nitro 64. Both were sort of sprung on us by our good friends in Calabasas. It's obvious that this will be THQ's best selling PC title to date, but I also expect its success will help THQ's mindshare among retailers. It should help win some shelf space or promotional force for Excession, et al. (Is IRC coming out or not?)

<<THQI's TA turns negative this morning but I am not selling any share. December is the strongest month for THQI in past 2 years and there is no reason this year is an exception.>>

I didn't think it was that negative since it was a light post-holiday session. The action was going very well until the last hour or so when a decent seller or two knocked us down. The close could just as easily have been unchanged on the day, but they kicked some 29 5/16 shares to me and someone else so we closed on the bid. I thought we did some nice work in knocking out more $30-ish resistance, setting us up for a move to $32+ this week with a good market and game releases. Certainly the channel checks are reporting excellent results.

I sold my AKLM at 8 31/32 the first day it hit nine and put the money into THQ. A good choice but I hated to lose that next point in AKLM. I bought more on Friday with some THQI profits. We'll see how it goes but I think that stock will be at $15 within six months. As for MWY, I don't watch it that closely but am going to follow it near the end of the year to see if tax-loss selling does a number on it.

Marc
